5th October 2011 is the day that the world mourns the loss of a very very smart man – Steve Jobs.
I am probably one of the last persons who will blog about this loss for I, am not exactly a techie nor a gadget person. But I love iPhone and my Macbook Pro to the max. So much so that I don’t think I will be able to switch to any other phones or lappy ever.
But I guess the most important reason behind this post is because of what I have read from fb status of others – this quote from his speech at Stanford University in 2005 :
Your time is limited, so don’t waste it living someone else’s life. Don’t be trapped by dogma — which is living with the results of other people’s thinking. Don’t let the noise of others’ opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition. They somehow already know what you truly want to become. Everything else is secondary… Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.
Certainly the very way I would want to live my life and I think I am actually living it now (some tweaking still need to be done, though).
Definitely a timely reminder.
Mr Jobs, thanks for everything. I am sure your legacy will be remembered forever. Hopefully, I, too, can leave a little legacy behind when it’s my time…
