Been missing the exorbitantly priced Provence Herbs Shortbread from La Cure Gourmande at Ngee Ann City and too stingy to spend more on them, I decided that I must attempt to bake! But I’m never a biscuit, shortbread person because I find it messier than just baking cookies. Lucky me today that I found a pack of soon-to-be-expired short crust pastry in the freezer and experimented I did!!
It definitely does not taste like the real thing in terms of the crispness and crunch but it certainly is good enough for me for now. I just love the taste of rosemary plus sea salt lingering in the mouth.
It’s just so easy to make. Just sprinkle lotsa rosemary and sea salt onto the pastry and roll the pastry with a rolling pin and mould the dough into tiny shapes that you like. Pop into the over for 20 mins (preheated at 200 degrees Celsius) and voila! We have some expensive tasting biscuits in the house! Yay!
